Why email marketing is a must-do for your digital strategy…
How is your email marketing game?
Building your own email list of ideal supporters is likely to be the lowest cost marketing tool you have.
Not only is the data yours, so you are not reliant on a social media platform for example, many email service providers also allow you to email up to 1,000 contacts free via their services.
If you haven’t started email marketing, I’d encourage you to do so as soon as you can. It’s a great way to nurture your supporters – let them get to know, like and trust you. Regular email contact will increase your engagement and could build you your most loyal audience.
Not sure how to start? Choose a service provider (I’d recommend Mailerlite or ActiveCampaign depending on your needs) and create a lead magnet to encourage people to sign up. Offer them something they just can’t say no to, and will be willing to sign-up to your email list in order to receive, and promote this in as many places as you can.
If your email marketing is ticking away nicely, what are you doing to improve the engagement and grow the list? Are you monitoring your vital stats, such as open rate, click-through rate and unsubscribes? Are you testing different subject lines, long versus short copy, the times and days you send your emails?
Remember, with email marketing one size does not fit all. The more personalised you can be with your content, the better response / engagement rates you are likely to see.
And you know what you get with more engaged supporters, don’t you? more fundraisers and donors! JACKPOT! 💰💰💰
